Learn about community mapping tools for identifying gaps in services, partnership opportunities, and strategies for climate equity.

Gen:Thrive is a collaborative initiative providing shared data and technology tools to accelerate sustainability education and advance health, equity and climate resilience in K-12 schools.

This will be an interactive workshop combining lived experience with community, environmental, and education data. After completing this workshop, participants will be able to articulate their ideas well both visually and verbally. Together, we will:

  • Create a shared understanding of climate equity by exploring the use of mapping.
  • Explore mapping tools to utilize and learn about EJ history and storytelling.
  • Inspire others around a common vision of climate equity to collaborate and take action.

Participants will learn how to use GIS mapping and data visualization to track environmental education programs alongside equity and climate challenges in order to identify gaps in services, partnership opportunities, and strategies for effectively serving our most vulnerable communities.

Registration is recommended to attend the event.
